This one was really emotional! My friend, Andrea, commissioned this portrait of her mother-in-law Sheila who passed away when her son was in high school. Originally from Haiti, my friend's husband only had one wallet size, somewhat fuzzy photo of his mom.
She had me do a 9x12 of Sheila based on the tiny photo. It was such a privilege. I cried as I prayed for her and her son. I wrote the words "it was worth it" and "I'm so proud of you" near her heart because as I prayed I felt like this was the message I received from God.
Whew! Thank you, Andrea for the privilege. Proceeds went to a worker in a refugee camp in Greece.
